When people think of December, it would always be ‘Holiday Season or Shopping Season’ where most retailers would generously offer discounts to get people into their stores for Christmas shopping.

The same goes for car retailers offering attractive incentives to sell vehicles and clear some of their existing inventory. Hence, making December the best month for great car deals.

At every end of the year and moving into a new sales year, the car dealers’ targets are reset, where car sales, inventory, and salespersons’ performance appraisals are counted and checked. This motivates the dealers to sell as many cars as possible. As long as you are not too bothered by the car registration year, this would be a great opportunity to purchase a brand-new or used car. 

New model cars arrive in October each year and take their place at car dealerships alongside the previous year’s models. That means that right now at car dealerships, 2022 models are sitting right next to 2021 models. Therefore, in the final three months of the year, sales staff are under pressure to clear the previous model to make more room for the newest model.
